I was absent for the lesson on this in science class, and I got notes copied to read but they’re too sophisticated for me, so I’d appreciate simple elaborations.

Apparently, according to my notes, carbon dioxide is good for the planet but it causes the greenhouse effect? I heard the greenhouse effect was bad but I’m also hearing that it’s necessary for the Earth to sustain life?
